Wet & Dry Distiller’s Grain
During the production of ethanol, yeast fermentation converts the starch component of the grain to ethanol and carbon dioxide. As a result the remaining nutritional components, protein, fat, fibre, vitamins and minerals are concentrated three-fold and are a valuable feed for livestock. The residue is centrifuged to separate the grain solids (Wet Distiller’s Grain) from the liquid solubles. The liquid solubles are further concentrated to produce “syrup” which can be mixed with the wetcake or sold “as is”.
Dry Distiller’s Grain Meal
In general DDG Meal is a Protein alternative to the market which is GMO free. It averages 37% protein, at a low 8% moisture level. Because of its low moisture it is easily handled and transported in bulk tippers, has a shelf life of 12months if kept dry, and is readily stored in meal silos or feed bays. Additionally DDG Meal can be a replacement for Canola meal in pork diets, and cotton seed meal in cattle rations.

Wet Distiller’s Grain
WDG is DDG meal before we dry it to 8% moisture. It can be quickly and consistently delivered to producers. It has a shelf life of 12 days, the same 37% protein content, and is transported in bulk tippers. Its moisture content is about 68%, and it is typically used for feedlot cattle, in the dairy industry and in dry feeders in the paddock.
Is a liquid supplement containing valuable nutritional components, as well as a 15% fat content. It is transported in tankers as it has a 75% moisture content. It is commonly used for feedlot cattle, in the dairy industry, in dry feeders and for lick blocks.
